types of digital TVS
Consumers in the market for a digital TV are faced with a dizzying array of choices:LCDs,plasma screens. Each type of television works with a different type of technology. LCD is a acronym for liquid crystal display. This televisions often feature screens larger than 40 inches, with minimum depth. They achieve acute sharpness and rich staturation of color by projecting transistor voltage ont liquide crystals sandwiched between two panes of glass.Plasma screens also are often larger than 40 inches.Their pictures are generated by the action of electric pulses which excite rare natural gases, usually xenon and neon, which then glow and produce light.Rear projection TVS are typically larger.
HOW DIGITAL TVS TRANSMIT SIGNALS
Ulike analogue television signals, digital television signals occur in electronics pulses that are transmitted in discrete packets.A digital television signal is transmitted in the form of pixels. The picture that a digital TV displays is actually an integration of millions of pixels which combine to form pictures that can be translated by the human eye.
DIGITAL TV SCREENS AND TUNERS
A digital TV actually has two integrated digital components: a digital tuner and a digital monitor. The tuner is equivalent to a stereo receiver for an audio system, and translates the signals for each station into the visual and audio elemen transmitted by the digital monitor and speakers.Like flat screen computer monitors, digital TV monitors are much less bulky than their analouge predecessors.
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SURROUND SPEAKERS
1. Surround sound comes in four types:5.1,6.1,7.1,and 8.1. The lowest level,5.1,incorporates five speakers into the surround sound system, with 6.1 having six speakers and so fourth.
2. AMPLIFIER: An amplifier makes it all happen. The amplifier powers the entire system, making it the most important component of the system. This is the device that the subwoofer and speakers run through. The amplifier is also connected to the device from which you'd like your sound connected to,such as television.
3. FRONT SPEAKERS: THIS IS WERE THE SOUND HAPPENS,the front speakers include the center speaker and side speakers. The speaker is positioned were you'd like the direction of the sound to be coming from. Most people set up the center speaker in line with their television. The side speakers are set up to the sides of the center speaker, usually several feet away from the television.
4. REAR SPEAKERS: The rear speakers are positioned behind or the sides of the viewer to create the sensation of being surrounded by sound. The speakers are mainly heard when action on screen happens in the background, such as bombs exploding in the distance behind the characters on screen.
5. SUBWOOFER: Subwoofer had punch to the sound. The subwoofer adds the punch to the surround sound system, providing bass. The subwoofer can be positioned in various areas but is usually placed near the center of the sound.
